Spring - Adoption Pending

Picture
Due to her overwhelming popularity, we are no longer taking applications for Spring and hope you will consider another deserving SGRR dog.

Spring is a 65-pound sweetheart who we believe to be around 6-7 years old. She has a moderate-to-low energy level and would much rather relax in the shade, watch the birds, and soak up affection than run a marathon. Some of her favorite activities include lounging in the grass and getting belly rubs. One of our volunteers shared, “
She loves the long grass! I mean, really loves it! She likes to lie on her back and wiggle around, scooting with her paws in the air like she just don't care!” Spring knows how to sit, keeps her kennel clean with no accidents, and requires minimal training. One of her cutest habits is lifting her paw to get your attention and encourage even more petting. It's impossible to resist!

This friendly girl gets along well with other dogs and is curious and social when meeting new canine friends. She may occasionally bark at a dog she's just noticed, but her goal is usually to say hello and touch noses. She would likely do well with another friendly dog but would be just as happy being the center of attention as your one-and-only "Queen Bee." Spring walks reasonably well on a leash and would benefit from some continued practice, but she's already a pleasant companion for casual strolls. Overall, Spring is a healthy, happy dog who is ready to trade kennel life for a comfy couch, loving family, and belly rubs. Could that home be yours?

Spring has been spayed, brought up-to-date on vaccinations, micro-chipped, and is heartworm negative. She will be ready to come from the South for direct adoption in late June. She has been given a Proheart-6 injection for 6 months of heartworm prevention.

Spring is ready to meet you!  If you have room in your heart for sweet Spring and you are already approved to adopt through SGRR,  please contact Mary to be considered. If you are not yet approved, visit our website to fill out an application!

Rescued dogs come with a range of needs - from behavioral to emotional to medical. When approved applicants adopt such dogs, they agree to continue the rehabilitation we have begun. This is what it means to rescue.
