Oscar - Adoption Pending!
Meet Oscar — Your Next Great Adventure!
Meet Oscar, a handsome 7-month-old Golden Retriever puppy looking for a family to call his own! Oscar found himself needing a new home when his owner received deployment orders and was unable to take him along.
Oscar knows there are so many fun things to do, wonderful places to explore, and adventures waiting just around the corner. He’s ready to experience it all with a family by his side! This people-loving guy adores everyone he meets and has truly never met a stranger — from children to seniors to other dogs. With his sunny disposition and welcoming personality, Oscar is a true “Ambassador of Sunshine!”
Cute as a button and eager to please, Oscar has his whole life ahead of him. Give this happy boy a treat, and he’ll officially adopt you as his new best friend! He’s highly treat-motivated, which will be a wonderful asset as he learns new skills and navigates the world around him. And get this - even though Oscar is only 7 months old, he already knows a number of commands!
The potential in this young pup is enormous. Oscar is a true open book, ready to learn, grow, and discover all the wonderful things life has to offer. He deserves a family willing to invest the time, patience, and love needed to help him blossom into the amazing companion he’s destined to be.
Oscar has been brought up-to-date on vaccinations, is microchipped, and is heartworm negative. He has been given a Proheart-6 injection for 6 months of heartworm prevention. Adopters must commit to the spaying or neutering of their adopted pup when it reaches 1 year of age, or as your veterinarian recommends, and must provide proof of neutering/spaying to SGRR.
If you’re looking for a dog who approaches each day with enthusiasm, greets life with a happy heart, and is ready to fill your world with sunshine, look no further. Oscar is ready to turn the page and begin his next great adventure — could it be with you?
Rescued dogs come with a range of needs - from behavioral to emotional to medical. When approved applicants adopt such dogs, they agree to continue the rehabilitation we have begun.
