eight year old blind Cocker Spaniel,
living with a house full of Golden
Retrievers. Since she can't see and she
thinks she is one of them. Please take
her words with a LARGE grain of salt!
" Hi!!! My name is Waffles. I am
living in a foster home with a bunch of
great guys and gals! They are Golden
Retrievers. I am too, but they like to
clown around a call me a Cocker
Spaniel. What a goofy name that is!
I don't know what my foster mom
feeds them but they are HUGE. I am
way smaller than they are. They must
not be SHOW QUALITY like me! I
know I must have a great figure
because my foster mom tells me I am
the chunkiest monkey she has ever
seen!
You see a long time ago I was in a
shelter in NY city. I was adopted as a
cute puppy and had a forever home.
My mom and dad didn't take very
good care of me, and when they took
me back to the shelter 8 years later I
was in very bad shape. My hair was
totally matted, I was full of bladder
stones and had a severe bladder
infection. I was also totally blind
because when I developed cataracts
nothing was done to help me.

I was SO SCARED in that shelter. I couldn't see and the smells and noises were so
scary. I was very lucky to be saved by two lovely ladies that are friends of my
foster mom.
They gave me a fancy hair cut, got me the surgery I needed to get rid of those
painful bladder stones ,and got me a real family to stay with until I find my forever
home.
I would LOVE to be in a home with other dogs. These Goldens are great! They
never care when I bump into them. Sometimes I cuddle right up with them. They
are so good to me. I love everything and everybody!!! I really love treats but mom
says I can't have to many because I am very overweight and it is not good for me.
If you have a Golden that needs company, or just want me to love, I would be so
grateful. Even though I am very chunky, I am not very big so when I bump into
things I never break anything! I have plenty of energy and LOVE to go for walks.
I have been blind for quite a while so I know how to get around really good. You
should see me climb stairs, no problem!!!! If you have room for me I promise I
