Lucas is a Golden mix who is
approximately 7 months old and
weighs about 40 lbs. Lucas has a
moderate activity level. He loves to
play but at the same time comes in and
settles quickly. His foster family has
been working on his recall and he is
doing much better.
We think leashed walks would be ok as
long as he could get to really romp
around a couple of days a week in a
fenced space. He is fully house trained.
Lucas is really good on leash. He can
get distracted but a gentle tug and he is
right beside you once again. He is now

quickly quiets down and enjoys the ride by sitting looking out the window or lying
down. Lucas loves, loves, loves other dogs big and small. He also is very perceptive
and knows who he can play hard with and who he should have a gentler paw with.
He is so funny with small dogs. He makes himself as small as he possibly can to
make a new friend. His fosters have taken food, treats, bones and toys away from
him without issue. He lets his fosters do just about anything to him. They have had
some pretty bad storms recently and he has been oblivious to it all. We have not seen
him around cats but have seen him with very tiny dogs and he has been fine. He gets
on their level and wants to play. His fosters were able to observe him with many
children at a recent promotional -he was great and gentle with all. He was only
observed for a short period of time with all different age groups but he did very well.
Lucas is very motivated by food.
He is intelligent, kind, gentle, playful, very well socialized with both humans and
dogs. He can bes tubborn. If distracted by play he sometimes will not listen. The
perfect home for Lucas is with an active family who is willing to do some basic
training The outcome will be the "Perfect dog"!!Lucas is a great all around dogs. He
has a great personality. Everyone that meets him just falls in love with him. He is not
super cuddly but we do see him becoming more affectionate and he is a very happy
pup. He is very happy to be involved in everything his fosters do.
