Thank you very much for coming yesterday and meeting us. It
was so much easier to let Rayna go knowing that she will be well
take care of. I could tell that you love dogs and it meant a lot to
me that you are willing to foster a dog while they are waiting for
a home.

Thank you for the time and effort you are giving to Rayna. I hope
that she is settling in with you and Rusty. I'm sure that she is
enjoying the companionship of another dog!

Thank you again, Rachel
Her foster feels as though she is a "Princess" so she gives her a name that she thinks
fits her, Dianna.  With a new name, Dianna below accepts new friend Rusty who is
also a rescue dog.  Rusty helps her adjust to her new home.

Thank you so much! She
looks very happy and
comfortable. Thank you for
the email yesterday. It's so
good to hear that she is
doing well. It's obvious in
the pictures that she is
enjoying life. Rusty and
Rayna look like good pals
already.

Thank you for your
understanding and care of

Notes: I have been ADOPTED! Happy Spring!
Dianna is a wonderful 2-3 year old Golden who was
turned into rescue when her family realized they
were not able to meet her needs. Dianna came to us
with a lot of confidence issues after living in a home
where she felt she had to be the leader. This was a
job far too stressful for Dianna.

Life at her foster home has worked WONDERS for
her! Her foster "brother" made her feel more at ease.
She is given consistent expectations and gentle
encouragement to overcome her fears. This girl is
truly a diamond in the rough. In the short time she
has been in foster care, she has blossomed! Dianna's
new family must be devoted to continuing to build
her confidence. We have worked very hard on
setting a strong foundation for her and are so proud
of how far she has come! Update:

Dianna has been doing so well in foster care! She has
become a much more relaxed and happy girl once
she realized she did not need to be the "alpha". She
continues to receive gentle reminders from her foster
that she is not in charge when she slips back into her
old habits, but she is learning she can now simply
relax and enjoy life! She does best on leash with a
Halti collar ...check her out in her Halti and sassy red
sweater!
Rayna is Adopted

Kris,

Thank you so much for letting me know. I am very happy that she has been adopted. Although New
Hampshire seems so far away! That's okay for me as long as Rayna is getting a good home.

I know that both you and Lisa must have thought they were a very good match for Rayna to let them
adopt her, so that is comforting. I hope that they, like you, will soon see the sweet side of Rayna.

I really, really appreciate all the time, money, and patience you have poured into Rayna for the time
you had her. I knew that she was in the best place she could be for that time. Please give her a big hug
and kiss to her for me. Please also tell the adoptive family
how greatful I am to them and that Rayna
is a very loving dog.

Thank you very much, Rachel

Once I met the family, I knew that this was a good match for her and although I
will miss her greatly, I find comfort in knowing that she is in a good home and that
Rusty and I helped her along the way.

eventually she'll come around

Our girl is making a lot of progress in
a little time!!!  What a smart girl.  She's
doing excellent with the crate training,
and she and Armando are also doing
much better!!

She re-recognizes him much faster
when he comes home from work now.
I'm still trying to figure out the
various meanings for her barks and
whining noises.  I don't want to miss
any important signs!!  She's a very
vocal girl, not just barking either.  She
practically talks!!

Anyway, we are doing great with her
and love her already!!  Even Oliver
has figured out how to play with her
and is having alot of fun with her.

This afternoon is our first trip to my
vet.  I want them to meet and I want a
good product for her ears and a
refresher on good ear cleaning
technique.  Plus they need all her shot
info.

Again, progress,progress, progress!!!!!!

Regards, Lauren and Luna

I just wanted you to both know how much
I love her!!  She thanks us everyday, every
snuggle, every doggy kiss, every
breakthrough she makes.  She is such a
playful girl; she makes Armando laugh
and laugh!!!!

I'm still trying to figure out the various
meanings for her barks and whining
noises.  I don't want to miss any
important signs!!  She's a very vocal girl,
not just barking either.  She practically
talks!!

She barks and rushes at the TV mostly when there is an animal or
especially a dog.  Sometimes though, she chases the ball when
Armando is watching a baseball game (or other ball type sport)!!
It is hysterical!!

Sometimes she even hits the TV screen!  I hope she never stops
doing that!!  The barking in the house at cars, lights and people
outside has greatly improved.  She seems to understand better
what is "bark worthy" and what is not.

We
really really love her and I feel like  I'm letting her down
because I know she is smart.   She's still a little apprehensive out
in our yard, but we are working on that.  She hasn't barfed in the
car in a while so that is better too!

Thank you sooo much for sending this on! It's wonderful to hear
and see how good she's doing. It really sounds like she's in the
perfect home for her.

Rachel
I REALLY don't think Luna is let down.

Thank you Lauren, Armando and Oliver, it is because of people like you that we
can continue to rescue.  The adopters are the real hero's, they unpack the baggage!!
